Services

I provide a range of services, including direct therapy, home and school-based support, and caregiver coaching. Many of the individuals I support have not fully benefited from traditional, skills-based models and are looking for care that better reflects how they think, learn and experience the world.

Social Communication Therapy

Individual therapy sessions are personalized, strengths-based, and grounded in real-world application. Each child’s needs vary significantly depending on age, developmental profile, and social strengths and challenges, and therapy is thoughtfully tailored to reflect that. Sessions are designed to be engaging, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to each child’s interests and learning style.

For younger children, work may focus on building awareness of thoughts and feelings, social attention, foundational language skills, emotional regulation, and early social problem-solving through play and everyday routines. With older children, teens, and young adults, therapy often shifts toward perspective-taking, navigating peer relationships, executive functioning, self-advocacy, and developing a deeper understanding of one’s own social strengths, challenges and personal social goals.

Across ages, the goal is not to practice social skills in isolation, but to support meaningful growth in communication and self-understanding in ways that feel authentic, practical, and sustainable.

Selective Mutism Treatment

Selective mutism requires a specialized, gradual, exposure-based approach that differs from traditional speech therapy or social communication support. Treatment focuses on reducing anxiety around communication, building safety and confidence in speaking, and supporting meaningful generalization across environments.

As therapy progresses, sessions may take place in the clinic, at school, or in community settings to thoughtfully expand comfort and participation in real-world situations. Collaboration with caregivers and educators is an essential part of this process.

Evaluations

I provide comprehensive speech/language evaluations and dynamic social-cognitive assessment to better understand your child’s social learning style. Evaluations are designed to offer clarity around strengths, areas of need, and diagnostic considerations, while outlining thoughtful next steps for support.

Depending on the referral question, an evaluation may include formal speech/language and social pragmatic testing, informal assessment of social cognition, school and/or home observations, caregiver interviews, record review, and collaboration with educators or other providers.

School-Based Services

School-based support provides insight into how a child navigates academic expectations, peer dynamics, and social demands in real time. For many children, the school day is where social learning differences and regulation difficulties are most visible. When appropriate, sessions may occur on site, allowing intervention and observation to take place directly within the classroom or school environment.

Working within the school setting allows therapy to target challenges as they arise, whether during structured academic tasks, transitions, or peer interactions. In addition to direct support, this work includes collaboration with teachers and educational teams to suggest practical accommodations, environmental adjustments, and strategies that help the child feel more supported and successful.

Home Visits

Home-based support allows therapy to extend beyond the clinic and into a child’s natural environment. Working within the home provides valuable insight into daily routines, transitions, sibling dynamics, and real-life social demands. Sessions may focus on supporting social learning during everyday routines, facilitating peer interactions, coaching caregivers in real time, and strengthening flexibility, independence, and problem-solving within naturally occurring situations.

Consultation & Caregiver Support

Caregiver support provides space to better understand your child’s communication style, emotional needs, and underlying patterns. Together, we explore practical strategies that can be woven into everyday routines, helping you feel more confident and aligned in how you respond to challenges. This collaborative process supports consistency across environments and strengthens the relationship at the center of growth.
