Welcome
I’m a California and New York licensed speech-language pathologist specializing in treatment for selective mutism and social cognitive therapy for children, teens and young adults with social learning challenges. I see clients at their home or school in San Francisco, as well as throughout California and New York via telehealth.
In addition to my private practice, I am the co-founder of Social Learners SF, a practice providing group-based therapy for individuals with social learning challenges.
About Rachel
I’ve worked with children, adolescents and adults across the lifespan in private practice, schools, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. I completed my clinical training in speech-language pathology at UCSF and Social Thinking® - Stevens Creek. Additionally, I am a Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained clinician who is educated in gestalt language processing and delayed echolalia. Having experienced selective mutism myself growing up, I have empathy and passion for helping my clients who are struggling with communication.
Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist, I worked in corporate communications in New York City. After working at the NYU Child Study Center's intensive treatment program for children with SM, I knew this was the field for me. I received my Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Oregon and my undergraduate degree from Indiana University at Bloomington.
In addition to my private practice, I am the co-founder of Social Learners SF, a practice serving clients with social learning challenges in San Francisco.
